Tomorrow, today, yesterday

The first bake didn’t show the shapes in enough definition, so I hammered out the lines clearer. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

Today I hammered out the first trial of my loaf imprint. This imprint will appear on the bottom of my large tins and serves as a unique signature for my bread.

Hello to all my new followers.

I don’t mean to disappoint any of you, so there’s a few things to know.

This is a blog for my own photographs.
I only shoot film so it can take a while to upload new pictures.

I am a craft baker, working with traditional techniques to make bread and pastry. Most of the pictures I upload to my Flickr or tumblr are things I’ve made, either at home or in the bakeries I work in. If you like bread, breakfast and coffee as much as I do then you’ll like what I take pictures of.

At the moment I’m working at a small bakery in the south west of England where we use a wood fired oven, baking for farmers markets and farm shops. In the coming months though I’ll be working towards setting up my own bakery.

I’m very busy but I photograph my life and hopefully you like what you see, and if you’re ever near my shop you can drop in for some sourdough or a cup of coffee.
